The Google Training exercise, was designed to complement the efforts of the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program through practical exposure of the youths to  various Google Business Tools (Google Apps, GNBO, Google Trader, Google Plus and Adword) focused at promoting ICT skills amongst corps members.

The first week of resumption of the camp was mainly for registration, settling down of corps member and setup of training site. The training was effectively carried out from 12th  through 24th of November 2012.More than Fifteen thousand (15,000) corps members were sensitized on the Google training benefits while an average of a thousand (1000) corps members were opportuned to participate in the hands-on practical training on the different Google Business applications.

Corps members were grouped into various sectors of the SAED Training (Agro-Allied, ICT, Craft, Fashion and Technical etc), hence limited the number of potential corps members able to participate at the Hands-on Training Center. However, the Team Leads of the Google Training promptly re-engaged the NYSC SAED Training Coordinator by convincing them to make the training more available to other corps members as ICT remains essential to all sectors of the real business world. This approach gradually yielded positive outcome as more time and additional sensitization was done to garner the interest of the corps members.The exercise was carried out in six different states; Enugu,  Port Harcourt.

The exercise began with awareness campaigns held in the various camps to sensitize the corps members on the benefits of participating in the training program. The awareness campaign, led by the team leaders and the Head of department for SAED (Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development) NYSC, was carried out by having a general presentation, addressing an average of 2500 corps members in the various states.
